Major Pain!

I kinda recalled hill climbing better on my mtb last year after lifting weights for a while. Well I got back into it and am hurtin. Inner hamstrings are terrible. Did squats and light stiff legged deadlifts last night. Only 120# on deep squats & bench, 20# deadlifts to stretch the hamstrings. VERY FREKIN SORE HAMSTRINGS. Doug talked about fast twitch muscle and the SM100. Got me to remembrin my many years of bodybuilding. Ineffecient but powerful fast twitch muscle fiber could be behind my improving hillclimb PRs and my cramping and bonking on the SM100 this year when I expected my performance gains to translate into SM100 gains, but they did not. Perhaps, unlike some people, I may need to do long grinding training rides way below threshold to develop more slow twitch ability. I plan to return to hardcore bodybuilding this offseason and like last year turn out many mountain road centuries hoping for the sought after SM100 and 6 Gaps improvement.
