..I rode a bike. Today's fun was a tasty little place they call "The Shed" near Frederick, MD.
Met up with Janet, a local there who finished the HI Ironman 4 years ago and her friend Clyde.
They also brought a friend who was a bit over his head. He tweaked his wrist and took counsel to bail and bailed. Glad no one got seriously hurt. Especially me. I had a number of close calls. Those pesky tall rock garden rocks that stop me. Kinda comedic watching my fork rotate around the stationary axle and rock, fortunately the rear came back the right way. A nice fall line screamer that I had to get up to around 30 mph then missed the sudden left to emergency brake hopin I could stop before a tree did it for me. Cleaned some hard climbs they enthusiastically sent me to in front to see if I could do it. It's like a nice golf shot, those steep techy climbs. When you nail it it's a thing of beauty. 17 miles of virgin (for me) fun. I recommend it.
